DSC Communications in Superior has acquired Granite Electronics, a St. Cloud-based provider of communications systems and devices for public safety, industrial and commercial clients.

Granite Electronics has provided communication services to central Minnesota since 1963, including offering repair services and selling two-way radios, pagers and Motorola batteries. The news release stated that all Granite Electronics employees will remain with the new company and will stay at the current location in St. Cloud.

DSC Communications, which provides sales and service for Minnesota and Wisconsin and distributes products, said it will bring enhanced resources to Granite Electronics’ client base and the central Minnesota region.

Granite Electronics President Michael Kahl said in a statement, “We look forward to leveraging the resources and capabilities that this partnership will provide. It is exciting to consider how this will benefit our employees and our customers, both of which have always been our top priority.”
